New Baltimore City lease renewal laws

To all of our valued clients with rental property in Baltimore City- All residents must be given the opportunity to renew their lease agreement even if they are behind on rent. The only legal reasons that we can Non-renew  a lease for are as follows; 
1.) Substantial breach of the lease agreement 
2.) You would like to permanently remove the property from the rental market 
3.) You would like to take back possession of the property and make it your or a relative's primary residence.
4.) We will be conducting repairs that cannot be completed while the property is occupied. 

There are still many questions surrounding this law and the City's ability to enforce it. We will keep all of our clients updated as we learn more.
